Furnace Repair

Most furnace problems come down to a handful of parts: the ignitor, flame sensor, heat exchanger, inducer motor, or control board. We diagnose the problem, tell you what it costs to fix, and let you decide. If it doesn't make sense to repair, we'll tell you that too.

Common issues we see every week:

Furnace Installation and Replacement

If your furnace is past its useful life or the repair cost doesn't make sense, we install new systems the same day or next day in most cases. We carry high-efficiency gas furnaces from all major brands and size the system to your home, not to whatever's easiest to grab off the truck.

Most replacements take 4 to 6 hours. We pull the old unit, install the new one, test it, and clean up before we leave. You'll have heat the same day.

Repair or Replace, How We Think About It

This is the most common question we get. Here's how we look at it:

We'll give you the repair number and the replacement number. You decide. We don't push new systems on people who don't need them. That's how we've kept customers coming back for 20 years.

Brands We Service and Install

We work on every major brand: Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Bryant, American Standard, Ruud, York, and Daikin. If your furnace is a brand we haven't seen before, we'll figure it out. We're not a dealer locked to one line.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my furnace needs repair or replacement?
Age and repair cost are the two main factors. If the furnace is under 15 years old and the repair is under $500, repair usually makes sense. If it's over 20 years old and needs a heat exchanger, inducer motor, or control board, you're often better off replacing it. We'll give you both numbers so you can decide.
My furnace turns on but shuts off after a few minutes. What's wrong?
That's called short cycling. Most common causes are a dirty flame sensor, a cracked heat exchanger, or an airflow problem from a clogged filter or blocked vent. It's worth getting looked at quickly. Short cycling puts extra wear on the system every time it fires.
How long does a furnace installation take?
Most standard furnace replacements take 4 to 6 hours. We pull the old unit, install the new one, test it, and make sure everything is running before we leave. We aim to have you with heat the same day.
What furnace brands do you install?
We install Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Bryant, American Standard, and Ruud. We'll recommend what makes sense for your house and budget, not just whatever has the highest margin.
Do you work on mobile home furnaces?
Yes. Mobile home furnaces are a different setup than site-built homes and not everyone works on them. We do.
