The salt air seems to rust out my outdoor AC unit faster than normal. Is there anything to do?

Lakefront exposure does accelerate corrosion on the condenser coil and cabinet. Rinsing the unit down with fresh water a few times a season helps. When it's time to replace, we can talk about coil coatings that hold up better near the water.

My house is right on the lake and the humidity inside is always high. Does that affect my AC?

High humidity makes your AC work harder and longer. If the system is undersized or the refrigerant is even slightly low, you'll notice it more. We can check the whole setup and tell you if the equipment matches the load.
